Rita Keating believes in the power of healing and inner growth, with a mission to empower individuals by providing a safe, supportive environment that fosters resilience and self-discovery. Committed to compassionate care, Rita works collaboratively with clients on their path to mental wellness.
The humanistic and integrative approach forms the foundation of Rita Keating’s psychotherapy training, emphasising a holistic understanding of the individual while valuing their subjective experiences, personal growth, and self-actualisation. This training also incorporates Gestalt, Developmental and Personality Psychology, Psychiatry, Psychodynamic theories, and Object Relations. Rita meets clients where they are, working at their pace to co-create a confidential, safe, and trusting space.
Rita has been part of the team at Living Life Counselling Centre over the last few years and has worked with a diverse range of individuals with a variety of presenting issues, including depression, anxiety, self-esteem challenges, bereavement, trauma, and existential concerns.
With a strong background in supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities as a social care worker and as a yoga teacher and practitioner, Rita draws on these experiences alongside intensive training to deeply understand the human condition.
Rita Keating holds a BA in Psychology from Dublin Business School, an MA in Women’s Studies from University College Dublin, a Higher Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy, and an MA in Arts in Psychotherapy from Dublin Business School.
As a fully accredited member of the Irish Association of Humanistic and Integrative Psychotherapy (I.A.H.I.P.), Rita adheres to ethical requirements and attends regular supervision to ensure the highest standards of care.
